Four simple steps from a pile of receipt photos to an accountant-ready Excel file. No account, no subscription.
CRA-ready Excel output
·
No account required
·
Files deleted after processing
1
Choose a plan and pay securely
Select Standard (up to 10 receipt photos, 25 MB total) or Extended (up to 20 photos, 40 MB total). Payment is handled by Stripe — we never see your card details. One purchase = one Excel file. No subscription.
2
Upload your receipt photos
After payment you’re immediately returned to the upload screen. Drag and drop receipt photos, or tap to select them from your phone or computer. Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, HEIC. Photos are automatically compressed — you can upload straight from your phone camera roll without worrying about file sizes.
3
AI reads each receipt
Our AI reads each receipt image and extracts: merchant name, date, net amount, tax lines with their exact labels (GST, HST, PST, TPS, TVQ — whatever appears on the receipt), total, currency, and payment method.
Processing typically takes a few seconds per receipt. Receipt photos are deleted after your Excel file is generated.
4
Download your Excel file
Once processing is complete, your Excel file downloads automatically. It contains two sheets: Expenses (one row per receipt with all extracted data, a category dropdown, and proper currency formatting) and Summary (totals for net expenses, taxes, and gross spending).
What you get: Expenses sheet + Summary sheet, accountant-ready. Open in Excel, Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers.

What makes a good receipt photo?
Receipt extraction accuracy depends on photo quality. For best results:
- Lay the receipt flat on a table or other surface — avoid holding it in your hand
- Good lighting matters more than anything else. Avoid shadows across the receipt
- Capture the full receipt, including the top (merchant name) and bottom (totals and taxes)
- For long receipts, take one photo of the full receipt or two overlapping photos
- Thermal paper receipts (the shiny kind) can fade — photograph them while fresh
What’s in the Excel file?
The Excel file has two sheets:
Expenses sheet (columns A to M)
- Date, Merchant, Category (dropdown), Net Amount (Before Tax)
- Tax 1 Name, Tax 1 Amount, Tax 2 Name, Tax 2 Amount
- Total, Currency, Payment Method, Receipt Ref, Notes
Tax columns are province-neutral: the label comes from the receipt itself (TPS/TVQ, GST/HST, GST/PST, etc.). The Category column includes a dropdown with common CRA expense categories.
Summary sheet
Shows totals for net expenses, Tax 1, Tax 2, and gross spending, along with receipt count and generation date.
Province support
All of these are handled automatically — the tool reads whatever label is on the receipt.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts, no login, and no saved history. Each purchase is completely standalone.
Are my receipt photos stored?
No. Receipt photos are processed temporarily and deleted after your Excel file is generated. We do not retain your images. See our
Privacy Policy for details.
What if a receipt can’t be read?
Unreadable receipts are flagged in the Notes column of the Excel file. If all receipts in a session are unreadable, the session is not consumed and you can try again with clearer photos. If some receipts are readable and some aren’t, the readable ones are included and the others are marked in Notes.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The site works on iOS and Android browsers. You can upload directly from your camera roll. Photos are automatically compressed before upload.
Can the Excel file be opened in Google Sheets?
Yes. The .xlsx format is compatible with Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, and LibreOffice Calc, in addition to Microsoft Excel.
Is this tax advice?
